This full-time speech-language pathologist assignment covers a maternity leave for the 2026/2027 school year from August 12th to November 1st. Based near North Haven, CT, you’ll make an impact working with a population that includes students with significant autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active state licensure
  • Prior experience in school-based settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Demonstrated expertise working with children with complex needs—including ASD and developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
  • Ability to implement IEPs and adapt strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Flexibility and compassion to navigate a dynamic educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students requiring SLP services
  • Develop, implement, and track individualized goals and treatment plans
  • Provide direct and consultative therapy to students with significant support needs
  • Collaborate closely with special education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and progress notes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for ongoing student success
