Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A retail pharmacist position is available to cover a maternity leave from December 2026 through February 2027. This contract role offers flexible scheduling within store hours, providing opportunity for work-life balance.
Location: Huntington, TX
Schedule Options:
- Store hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- 1st Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (flexible to 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
- 2nd Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible to 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Part-time hours may be accommodated
Responsibilities:
- Uphold core company values consistently
- Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with pharmacy mission
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies including HIPAA
- Perform final verification of prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers
- Provide accurate information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain quality assurance protocols, security of controlled substances, and proper hazardous waste disposal
- Manage telephone inquiries requiring pharmacist assistance
- Retrieve and process voicemail messages and prescriptions
- Conduct patient counseling as requested or required
- Resolve customer conflicts professionally in-person or by phone
- Note: Vaccinations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services are not provided at this location
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
- Valid, clear, and active Texas pharmacist license
