Medical Technologist I

Labcorp seeks a Medical Technologist I for a part-time laboratory role in Silverton, Oregon. The position involves performing specimen analysis, operating diagnostic equipment, and maintaining quality control procedures across a rotating schedule including occasional weekends.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical procedures
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Execute preventive maintenance and quality control documentation procedures
- Prepare, test, and validate new reagents and control materials
- Report accurate test results and manage specimen processing as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Medical Technology
- ASCP or AMT certification
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional customer service and written/verbal communication
