We are looking for a Principal Platform DevOps Engineer - Windows OS for our environment; a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset. The skills for this need will include someone who is very familiar with the Windows Operating system and can work through the OS configuration and optimization for these environments which would involve a mixture of hands-on keyboard, engineering work, as well as documentation and baseline control.What You Will DoYou will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with design, development, implementation, and support of DevOps / DevSecOps development of our Windows based hosts for the projectYou will support software deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program need for the effortYou will Design, implement, generate code through DevOps concepts and scripting tools, test, document, and maintain the systemYou will assist with development of build/test and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across our on-premises and Cloud based computing environmentsYou will provide guidance on resource allocation & utilizationYou will assist engineers with Windows based tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practicesQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and a minimum 8 years of related work experienceProven experience installing, configuring, hardening, and maintaining Windows environmentsHands‑on experience designing, implementing, and integrating cloud infrastructure solutions, preferably with AWSStrong experience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Chef, and/or AnsibleExperience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS products, VMs, VDIs, and/or network issuesActive and Current TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required on day 1.
