Position Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional healthcare setting while ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered services. The RN will be responsible for coordinating, directing, and administering nursing care to incarcerated individuals, implementing prescribed treatments, collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams, and supporting the development and execution of nursing care plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, leadership abilities, and experience working in fast-paced healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities • Coordinate, direct, and provide nursing care to incarcerated individuals in accordance with established standards and facility policies. • Administer treatments, medications, and nursing procedures as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers. • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions to identify healthcare needs and changes in status. • Develop, implement, evaluate, and update nursing care plans to support quality patient outcomes. • Document patient care activities, assessments, treatments, and observations accurately and timely. • Collaborate with physicians, treatment teams, and other healthcare disciplines regarding patient care and treatment planning. • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide necessary nursing interventions. • Educate patients regarding health conditions, treatments, medications, and preventive healthcare practices. • Maintain compliance with correctional healthcare policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. • Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and training to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed direct care staff. • Assist in the preparation, evaluation, and implementation of nursing care plans to

ensure continuity and quality of care. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support facility healthcare operations.

Work Schedule & Conditions • Various shifts available based on facility needs • Day Shift: 5:45 AM - 2:00 PM EST • Evening Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM EST • Night Shift: 9:45 PM - 6:00 AM EST • Night shift assignments include every other weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled • Day shift assignments include weekend coverage and holiday work when holidays fall on scheduled weekends • May work up to 40 hours per week • Overtime: Not required • Travel: Not required • Holidays: Required to work New York State holidays as scheduled

Qualifications & Requirements • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York • Experience in correctional, psychiatric, emergency, hospital, long-term care, or other acute healthcare settings preferred • Strong clinical assessment, patient care, and medication administration skills • Knowledge of nursing care planning, treatment coordination, and healthcare documentation standards • Ability to supervise and mentor nursing and direct care staff • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and secure correctional environment • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, confidentiality, and professional nursing standards

Background Check Requirements • Criminal history background check required prior to facility clearance • Successful completion of all security and facility access requirements is mandatory

Vaccination & Medical Requirements • Must meet facility medical clearance and health screening requirements

Required Training • Facility-specific orientation and training as required prior to assignment
