Product Strategy and Operations Director

Publicis Imagine is looking for a dedicated Director, Strategy to oversee Media Planning and Strategy functions for a high‑profile, fast‑paced account. The Director will develop, execute, and steward integrated media plans, lead strategy development, and manage a team to deliver client‑aligned recommendations. Responsibilities Lead client business and oversee all aspects of the assigned line of business. Drive high‑level strategy and holistic management of media plan development, implementation, and execution. Identify key target insights from client brief to formulate strategic recommendations. Manage projects and resources for subsidiaries/business units. Maintain in‑depth knowledge of client business. Ensure teams adopt best‑in‑class tools, techniques, and systems to deliver plan recommendations aligned to client objectives. Show intimate understanding of how consumers interact with channels and technology. Provide direction, management, and support to direct and indirect reports. Supervise, train, and develop staff (managing workload, delegating responsibilities, checking work for accuracy, performance management). Participate in special projects involving cross‑department team development. Participate in new business efforts, including development of new business opportunities and pitches. Qualifications B.A. or B.S., preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or related field. 8+ years of media planning experience. 4+ years of managing junior staff. Marketing/advertising agency experience highly preferred. Proven success presenting plans to clients and influencing top‑level decisions. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and quantitative/analytical skills. Adept at injecting ideas, innovation, and industry developments into planning assignments. Detail‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Self‑starter with strong planning and organizational skills. Computer skills: Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Nielsen Suite, Kantar, IMS, Scenario Planner, R/F, Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, comScore, Prisma, Mbox, MRI/GfK, GWI, Mediatools. Ability to translate data into actionable insights. Diplomatic communication when fielding complex or sensitive questions from clients or internal groups. Professional presentation, training, and client‑facing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and analytical skills. Accountable, flexible, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrates ability to establish professional standards for team participation, conflict resolution, problem solving, and communication. Guides others in defining high‑level strategy for business unit. Manages budget, controls costs, and plans and schedules around cost concerns. Curious and passionate about client business.
