Catholic 5th Grade Teacher

Job Overview We are seeking a part‑time 5th Grade Teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for 13 hours per week near Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas. Regina Caeli Academy ( is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition that offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. No teaching certification or formal experience is required; we will provide all necessary training. Responsibilities Teach a 13‑hour week on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Prepare for classes at home and arrive ready to teach in a highly structured environment. Attend three mandatory training days on August 12‑14, 2026 (8 am‑5 pm); no childcare is provided during training, but nursing infants are welcome. Qualifications Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness. Traditional view of the student–teacher relationship and active living of the Catholic faith day‑to‑day. Received all sacraments appropriate to current state in life. Experience homeschooling, working with homeschool children, ministry in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism, teaching your own children, or teaching in a classical or private school (although not required).
