Responsibilities

• Provide NICU-focused respiratory care to neonates and pediatric patients per medical orders and care plans.
• Assess respiratory status, monitor progress, and document patient responses to therapies.
• Manage ventilator therapy and airway support, including routine checks, parameter adjustments, and weaning as appropriate.
• Administer prescribed inhaled medications and therapies; perform airway clearance, suctioning, and related treatments as indicated.
• Collaborate with the NICU care team (physicians, nurses, and therapists) to develop and implement patient-specific care plans.
• Perform timely documentation of interventions, patient status, and any changes in condition; ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Requirements

• GA Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license (GA RRT)
• NBRC-RRT certification
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU-level respiratory care experience
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a NICU environment and travel as required
• Strong teamwork and documentation skills; ability to adapt to a fast-paced NICU setting
