About the Role

The Company is seeking an AVP, Divisional Sales to lead and direct the sales activities of assigned External Wholesalers within the institutional group distribution channel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the External Wholesalers, including planning, monitoring work, and making decisions related to employment, performance appraisal, and training. This role involves setting and achieving divisional sales goals, providing training and development to the sales team, and ensuring a strong understanding of the products offered within the division. The AVP will also be expected to take corrective action when necessary, prepare detailed reports on sales progress, and drive commitment to internal control processes. Applicants for the AVP, Divisional Sales position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in sales, wholesaler, or relationship management within the insurance or financial services industry. Divisional sales management and staff management experience are preferred. The role requires excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and presentation skills, as well as advanced knowledge of the financial services industry and investment products. The candidate must be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and project a positive, professional image. A Series License-63, Series License-6 or 7, and a Life Insurance license are also required. The position demands a high level of commitment, including the ability to travel extensively and attend related conferences and meetings.
