Customer Service Intern

(Temporary) to join our team in Bloomington, Illinois! This is an excellent opportunity for a college student interested in business, marketing, operations, customer service, or account management to gain real-world experience in a professional manufacturing environment. As an intern, you'll work alongside experienced customer service professionals, collaborate with multiple departments, and gain hands-on exposure to order management, customer communications, business operations, and production processes. Program Details Location: Bloomington, IL Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, Mon-Fri Paid internship Flexible start and end date Opportunity to gain valuable professional experience while completing your degree What You'll Learn During this internship, you'll develop skills in: Customer service and professional communication Business operations and workflow management Order processing and data management Cross-functional collaboration Problem-solving and attention to detail ERP and business systems experience What You'll Do As a Customer Service Intern, you'll support our customer service team and assist with a variety of projects and daily business activities, including: Reviewing customer and sales order specifications for accuracy. Communicating with customers and internal teams via phone and email. Assisting with order processing and ensuring information is entered correctly. Investigating and helping resolve order discrepancies. Supporting the preparation of production work orders for manufacturing. Entering and maintaining data within company systems. Collaborating with customer service, manufacturing, shipping, and sales teams. Organizing and maintaining customer and operational documentation. Assisting with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university. Pursuing a degree in Graphic Communications, Business, Marketing, Communications, Operations, or a related field. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including: Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. We Would Also Prefer: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Effective written and verbal communication abilities. The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $17. The actual wage offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
