Commercial Estimator

Miller Brother Staffing has the immediate need for an experienced Commercial Estimator in Southern York County.


Pay Rate - $55K - $67K/year based on experience
Schedule: Full-time | In Person (NOT Remote)
Shift: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM with 1 hour lunch

Job Description/Duties:

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing projects, building accurate estimates, and working closely with customers and team members to help bring projects to life. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in fencing, manufacturing, and/or construction environments.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial fencing opportunities
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform material takeoffs and labor calculations
• Prepare detailed project estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead
• Develop and submit competitive bid proposals
• Coordinate pricing and information with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Follow up on leads, invitations to bid, and project opportunities
• Respond promptly to customer questions and pricing requests
• Prepare shop drawings, product submittals, and supporting documentation
• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and client discussions
• Maintain communication with clients, project managers, operations staff, and installation personnel
• Track material costs and market trends to maintain competitive pricing
• Support installation teams with estimating and planning tasks as needed
• Split time between office work and visiting job sites for estimates

Requirements:
• Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation
• Clean driving record and background check required
• NO DUI's
• Must be at least 21 years old to drive fleet vehicles (insurance requirement)
• Must have past commercial construction estimating experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Understanding of construction materials, job site logistics, and installation methods preferred
• Willingness to travel to job sites for estimates (approximately 50%)
