The Marblehead YMCA is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Xcel Coach (Bronze and/or Silver level) to join our competitive gymnastics program.This role is ideal for a coach who is dedicated to athlete development, teamwork, and creating a positive, supportive environment where gymnasts can grow in both skill and confidence.Key ResponsibilitiesCoaching & InstructionProvide high-quality, age-appropriate coaching for Xcel Bronze and/or Silver gymnastsAdapt training plans to support individual athlete progress and overall team developmentFoster teamwork, discipline, confidence, and a love for gymnasticsTeam & Program SupportCollaborate with recreational gymnastics staff to support athlete progression into competitive programsLead or assist with youth and teen recreational classes to build program engagementSupport program growth and assist with athlete transitions between levelsStaff Mentorship & TrainingHelp onboard and mentor newer coaches to promote consistency and excellence within the program Family & Member EngagementBuild positive relationships with gymnasts and their families through clear communication and supportRepresent YMCA values both inside and outside the gymnastics facility Safety & Facility OversightMaintain a clean, safe, and welcoming gymnastics environmentFollow YMCA safety procedures and assist with equipment care and setup as neededWho We’re Looking ForExperience coaching Xcel Bronze or Silver athletes (both preferred)Energetic, team-oriented, and mission-driven mindsetStrong communication and leadership skillsCommitment to youth development, athlete safety, and long-term successWhy Join the YMCA?Competitive pay and flexible schedulingFree YMCA membership & program discountsSupportive team culture with opportunities for growthThe chance to be part of a cause-driven organization focused on youth development and healthy living.
