Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Isle Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our wonderful team! Position Description The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for facilitating the recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for the patients who come through our facility. Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist Creating, administering and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients. Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement. Educating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings. Communicating with the dietary department in regard to rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions. Requirements of the Speech Language Pathologist Current Speech Language Pathologist License in current state. Current CPR certification.
