Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift - 3x12-Hour

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a 32-bed unit. This position involves floating to Latrobe as needed and requires expertise in various psychiatric skills and interventions. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong behavioral management techniques and possess proficiency in managing patients with anxiety, psychotic disorders, and mood disorders.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and perform patient assessments
• Implement behavior management techniques and crisis intervention
• Monitor patient vital signs and document changes appropriately
• Utilize charting systems, specifically Cerner, for patient documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and pharmacy
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and patient care standards

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred, especially in psychiatric care
• Valid PA License or Compact License required at the time of submission
• BLS Certification required; CPI Certification is preferred
• Experience with a charting system, Cerner preferred

Schedule

This position requires night shifts (19:00 - 07:00) working three 12-hour shifts weekly, including weekend coverage. Must be flexible to float within the facility.
