Physical Therapist AssistantThe Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. This role is essential in supporting clinical interventions through evidence-based practices while ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.ResponsibilitiesUtilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.Administers various rehabilitative procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.Assesses patient progress and communicates with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments as necessary.Documents treatment effectiveness and outcomes accurately in the clinical record.Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.Collaborates with health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.Participates in meetings such as patient care conferences and utilization reviews.Engages in required facility and company trainings and in-services.Supervises and supports students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.Ensures adherence to APTA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.ScheduleThis position operates on an 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours as long as they are consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR).Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings.Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Missouri.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
