Job Description Job Description Summary: This position’s primary responsibility will be to safely diagnose, repair and perform planned preventative maintenance on industrial mobile equipment such as forklifts, skidsteers, platform lifts, etc. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and service requests including replacement, and modifications of equipment or systems as needed or requested by the client. You will be required to work with the planning department to keep appropriate records in the electronic CMMS program tied to individual work orders. May also be required to assist in millwright job duties in a team environment at a heavy industry work site which operates 24x7. Requires ability to work flexible hours as needed and be available for call‑ins as required. Regular work schedule is Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complies with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs. Represents the company by servicing equipment on client site, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems. Work with the storeroom to maintain critical spare part inventory for repairs and preventative maintenance. Work with the Planning Department to schedule all upcoming repairs and maintenance. Establish and maintain a positive relationship with client customers, vendors, and co‑workers through effective oral and written communication skills. Perform Precision Maintenance with bearings, couplings, gearboxes, seals, bushings, interference fits, torque, pumps, rotating equipment, lubrication, etc. Checks safety and limit controls for proper setting before returning equipment to service. Work with OEM to diagnose issues and ensure proper parts are ordered. Other duties assigned. Education & Experience High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED). Minimum of 4 years’ experience working on mobile equipment preferred or a combination of technical schooling and experience. Must have knowledge of Precision Maintenance with bearings, couplings, gearboxes, seals, bushings, shrink fits, torque, pumps, rotating equipment, lubrication, etc. Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers’ equipment specifications. Knowledge of standard and specialized maintenance practices. Job Requirements Mental Demands Understand and carry out oral instructions; read and carry out written instructions to perform work tasks; work at varying heights; recognize, avoid, and report safety hazards; assemble and disassemble objects; operate equipment and power tools. Physical Demands See hazards, safety warnings, and barriers; bend knees for lifting and routine work tasks; stoop for work positioning and lifting to perform work tasks; lift maximum 50 lbs without assistance; ability to comprehend, and respond to audible/visual instructions, alarms and warnings; climb/balance on ladders, scaffolding, and structures for work tasks; kneel for work positioning and work task performance; reach above shoulders and away from body to perform work tasks; demonstrate manual dexterity to perform work tasks. Working Conditions Work in extreme heat or cold; work where noise level is above 85 decibels; work in wet/humid environment; work in cramped quarters; work in environment of fluctuating ventilation; work inside and outside.
