About the Role
The Company is seeking a new Head of School to lead its independent, Catholic PK-8 institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for stewarding the school's mission, which is deeply rooted in the values of diversity, inclusion, and academic excellence. This role requires a committed individual who can effectively manage a large, complex organization, and is adept at building and maintaining strong relationships within the school community. The Head of School will be expected to lead with a visible, approachable style, and to ensure that the school's programs continue to meet the needs of its diverse student body. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills are essential, as is a proven track record in school leadership or a mission-based non-profit organization. Applicants for the Head of School position at the company should be prepared to demonstrate a deep understanding of and commitment to the Catholic faith, as well as the ability to foster interfaith understanding. The role involves not only leading the academic and social-emotional development of students but also engaging in the school's Living the Legacy program of service and servant leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in enrollment management, fundraising, and friend-raising, and will be able to work with the Board of Trustees to promote the value of a faith-based education. A background in a diverse, urban educational setting and a strong commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion are highly valued. The Head of School will also be tasked with modifying and implementing the school's strategic plan, evaluating staffing needs, and creating a shared vision for the leadership team.
