Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist assists patients in the restoration of physical function through evaluation and treatment. The position involves working primarily in outpatient settings, with some inpatient responsibilities. The focus areas include general orthopedics, neurology, and gait training. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to provide patient care appropriate to the population served. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other treatment team members. Analytical abilities are essential to evaluate patients' physical and functional status and to establish therapy goals. The Physical Therapist is expected to formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe patients, document their status, and assist in resolving issues collaboratively. Strong computer skills are necessary to process detailed information accurately. The role requires a commitment to a drug-free workplace policy, including a negative drug screen for all panels.
