Segment Head - Solar (PAN India) & Other Electrical products For East

Key Responsibilities Develop and execute Pan-India sales and marketing strategies for the Solar business portfolio, including solar connectors, junction box and harnesses, to achieve revenue, order-booking, and growth targets. Build and expand business with Solar Developers, EPCs, dealers, string combiner box manufacturers, solar panel/module manufacturers, solar junction box manufacturers, and relevant OEMs across India. Identify new customers, market segments, and business opportunities for the Solar portfolio; assess opportunities for new products and coordinate with Engineering/Product Development teams on feasibility and business cases. Develop and manage sales for Elcoms complete product portfolio across the East region, including customer acquisition, channel development, key account management, enquiry generation, quotation follow-ups, and order booking. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, strategic accounts, channel partners, consultants, and OEMs across the assigned territories. Prepare regional and segment-wise sales plans, forecasts, pipeline updates, market intelligence, and performance reports for Management. Conduct market mapping, customer assessments, and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, customer requirements, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities. Lead, guide, and motivate the assigned sales team; set targets, monitor performance, and provide coaching and support to achieve business goals. Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering teams to develop promotional material, campaigns, and lead-generation initiatives and to strengthen brand awareness for the Solar business. Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, CSOM, Commercial, Engineering, and other relevant teams to review finished goods availability, support dispatch planning, ensure timely order fulfillment, and resolve customer requirements. Monitor receivables for the East region and coordinate with customers and the Commercial team to support timely payment collection. Address customer complaints and feedback, coordinate corrective actions, and support service improvements to maintain customer satisfaction. Track developments in the Solar industry, including technology, regulations, and market trends, and incorporate relevant insights into business plans. Represent Elcom at customer meetings, industry conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs, and networking events across India as required. Ensure compliance with sales processes, reporting standards, ERP/CRM updates, and applicable 5S and standardization practices. Educational Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics Engineering. MBA in Sales & Marketing or equivalent specialization preferred. Experience 10–15 years of experience in the Solar industry, with demonstrated experience in sales and business development. Senior sales leadership experience, including managing customer relationships, developing markets, and leading sales teams; B2B/industrial sales experience is preferred.
