Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Valid teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement (state-specific requirements apply)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in inclusive or co-teaching environments
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to team-teaching and interacting with families
• Flexibility, empathy, and creative problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners and adapting instruction to individual needs

Primary responsibilities:

• Co-teach in an inclusion classroom, partnering closely with general education teachers to provide differentiated instruction and support
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student requirements
• Foster an uplifting and positive learning atmosphere, encouraging social, emotional, and academic development
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with staff and families
• Actively participate in professional development, staff meetings, and training as provided by the district
• Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive school community dedicated to student achievement
