Requisition ID: 7637ERP Eligible?: NoERP amount: N/ARelocation: YesType: ExemptShift: 1Clearance Prior to Start: NilFinal Clearance: AU BaselinePay Transparency: $129,000.00 - $239,600.00Experience Level: Experienced ProfessionalFT/PT/Casual: FullTimeDepartment: MFC-PrimaryBusiness Unit: MFC-PrimaryStandard Job DescriptionLockheed Martin (MFC – Grand Prairie) is seeking an individual with manufacturing and supply chain experience to support the Precision Fires Global Supply Chain Procurement Engineering organization in Grand Prairie, Texas but will be an Ex-Patriot living in Melbourne, Australia.The individual will work with the in-country team to identify, assess and develop potential suppliers whose capabilities focus on machining, casting, forging, filament winding, additive manufacturing, micro-electronics, PWBs/CCAs and electrical harness manufacturing.This position will be focused on:Assessing Manufacturing Suppliers by observing and evaluating: Manufacturing processes, Overall Appearance / Cleanliness, Visual Performance Indicators, MRP / SAP System, Quality Assurance Standards plus Internal Transportation ProcessesServing as the technical authority in source selection decisions and supplier readiness: Identifying manufacturability strengths and challenges, Identify capability gaps and recommend corrective actions, Matching suppliers to part complexity, volume, and program schedule plus Interpreting electrical drawings, BOMs, and specificationsFacilitating discussions between Lockheed Martin and the Supplier organizations including: Engineering (design, reliability, test), Supply Chain / Strategic Sourcing, Production Operations (assembly lines, test stations) plus Quality (audit, certification)Basic Qualifications12+ years hands on experience with electrical manufacturing (shop floor, manufacturing engineering, or supplier technical role).Proven record of working directly with external suppliers.Excellent technical communication – can translate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.Willing to live in Australia for a minimum of 1 year but up to 24 months.Required travel 25-50% and on short notice domestic and international.Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college in one of the following STEM fields: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar field, or equivalent experience/combined education.Experience working with suppliers or subcontractorsAbility to facilitate cross-functional teams and discussions to drive resultsProject Management ExperienceAbility to obtain a secret clearanceAbility to read and interpret drawings and industry specificationsKnowledge of Lean manufacturing principlesDemonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentationsUnderstand what defines a Special ProcessUnderstand the basic steps required to complete a Special Process evaluationDesired SkillsFamiliar with AAP 01.110, AAP 2.125, AAP 2.115, PQA 002-1, IPC, MIL STD, AS9100, ITAR and aerospace/defense material specifications.Experience with production ramp up, capacity planning, and yield improvement.Green Belt or Black Belt certifiedExperience with Process Simulator, SIMIO, or other capacity analysis toolsRisk Management ExperienceStatement of Work or Requirements Writing ExperienceAbility to drive process improvements and/or root cause/corrective actions utilizing quantitative analytical methodsKnowledge of Lockheed Martin’s Surveillance Assessment Survey PlanPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
