Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit assignment in Rochester, New York. This opportunity is ideal for critical care nurses with strong ICU experience who are comfortable caring for complex, critically ill adult patient populations in a fast-paced acute care environment.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced critical care skills, strong clinical judgment, and experience managing highly acute ICU patients requiring advanced life support therapies.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult ICU patients
• Monitor and manage complex patient conditions and life-support equipment
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring
• Administer critical care medications, drips, and treatments
• Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Epic EMR system
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and ICU quality initiatives

Requirements

• Active New York RN License required at time of submission
• Recent MICU or Critical Care RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Strong critical care and hemodynamic monitoring experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a high-acuity ICU environment
