As a Registered Nurse at our Freestanding Emergency Room in Anderson Mill, your insights and contributions to patient care are highly valued. You will have the opportunity to engage in open and collaborative relationships with your direct supervisor, as well as participate in formal avenues such as hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. Your involvement will help shape decisions that enhance patient outcomes and the future of the nursing profession.

Job Overview and Qualifications

The role of the Registered Nurse involves coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other care team members, the RN provides tailored, comprehensive, and compassionate care by utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.

  • Regularly evaluates patient pain to facilitate effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
  • Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation in the patient’s medical record.
  • Delivers exceptional care by promptly responding to patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs.
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
  • Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-pharmaceutical follow-up measures, such as healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be obtained within 18 months of starting employment.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 60 days of starting employment.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 18 months of starting employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • No travel required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.
