Production Worker Opportunity at Beecher's Handmade CheeseBeecher's Handmade Cheese is excited to be opening a new cheesemaking facility in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, and we're looking for production workers to support our cheesemaking and production operations.This is a hands-on manufacturing role that may be assigned to a variety of production areas including vat/table operations, packaging, and sanitation. Team members play a critical role in producing high-quality products while maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and craftsmanship standards that define Beecher's.Why Choose Beecher's?Starting rate at $21.50/hour, wage based on skills/work experienceConsistent 4-day work week (10-hour shifts)Medical, dental and vision coverageLife insurance401 (k) with company matchPaid time off & holiday payWhat You'll DoDepending on assignment, responsibilities may include:Production OperationsSupport daily cheese production activities.Operate equipment safely and efficiently.Monitor products and processes to ensure quality standards are met.Complete required production records and documentation.Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.Vat/Table OperationsAssist with curd handling, milling, salting, hooping, and other cheesemaking activities.Monitor product quality throughout the production process.Maintain accurate production records.PackagingPackage finished products according to specifications.Label, inspect, and prepare products for distribution.Maintain quality and food safety standards throughout packaging operations.SanitationClean and sanitize production equipment, utensils, and production areas.Follow sanitation procedures and schedules.Support food safety and regulatory compliance requirements.Raw Intake (Licensed Role)Receive and inspect incoming milk shipments.Complete required testing, sampling, and documentation.Ensure compliance with regulatory and food safety requirements.HTST/Whey Processing (Licensed Role)Operate pasteurization and whey processing systems.Monitor temperatures, flow rates, and process controls.Maintain required records and regulatory documentation.What We're Looking ForStrong work ethic, reliability, and commitmentAbility to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions accuratelyStrong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation correctlyWillingness to learn and work across multiple production areasPositive attitude and team-first mindsetAbility to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPrevious food manufacturing, dairy, agriculture, warehouse, or production experience preferred but not requiredAbility to safely operate equipment and follow all required safety proceduresStrong communication skills and willingness to support teammates wherever neededUnderstanding of quality standards and commitment to producing exceptional productsDesire to grow skills and contribute to a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvementCareer Opportunity We're looking for people who want more than a paycheck.
