Community Center Program Aide

Location: Palm Beach Area Command/Northwest Community Center, Riviera Beach, FLSchedule/Hours: M - F 11:00am - 5:30pm (Part Time - 29 hours per week); Hourly rate: $15.50 p/hThis position is responsible for:Assists in facilitating and monitoring recreational activities of the Community Center; supervise and coaches sporting events; transports patrons to and from the Community Center; assists in maintaining the Community Center facilities, equipment, and grounds.Key Responsibilities:Opens/closes the Community Center in compliance with established operating hours; ensures the center is properly secured during non-operating hours.Prepares and maintains a schedule of Community Center activities in an accurate and timely manner.Supervises patrons visiting the Community Center and participating in programs; ensures that patron’s behavior remains consistent with center rules and regulations; reports any issues immediately to supervisor.Supervises and coach football, basketball, and baseball games; leads and motivates players to exhibit good sportsmanship.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.Ability to perform various yard work including raking, loading, and hauling grass, leaves, pine straw, dirt, etc.Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.No Employee Benefits offered for this position.Equal Opportunity Employer: Veterans/DisabledEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or G.E.D.,andsix months experience coaching and supervising athletic events and experience maintaining grounds,orany equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Valid State Drivers' LicenseMaintaining DCF training requirements and Safe From Harm trainings. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp
