Nuclear Medicine Technologist

AHS's Cardiovascular Imaging Outpatient Departments currently has an opening for a Nuclear Technologist. Selected candidate will perform Cardiac Nuclear Stress studies in accordance with established departmental protocols and policies. This position works within hours and a department that is based in an off-site imaging center in and around facilities that are affiliated with Morristown Medical Center/Atlantic Health System as well as other off-site offices that are associated with Physician Aligned practices. Principal Accountabilities Mixes stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of physician. Calibrates equipment. Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film. Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors. Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician. Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials. Other duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr Atlantic Health
