About the Role:

As a Cook at Pine View Nursing, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving food to our residents in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your attention to detail and culinary skills will ensure that every meal is not only delicious but also meets the dietary needs of our residents. You'll work closely with our dietary team to plan and prepare meals, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and maintain a positive and respectful work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals for residents, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner

• Plan and prepare special meals and events, such as birthday celebrations and holiday feasts

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils

• Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed

• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and prepare meals that meet resident dietary needs and preferences

• Maintain a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and communication with colleagues

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous cooking experience preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

• Basic math skills and ability to follow recipes and menus

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
