Licensed Practical Nurse – Responsibilities Responsible for medication administration for residents in compliance with federal and state regulations May be responsible for admissions of new residents, including all admission assessments and documentation Responsible for completing service plans May be responsible for clinical system tracking (e.g., wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director Provide general consultation regarding health‑related concerns within the community Communicate effectively and efficiently in listening, speaking, reading and writing Notify physicians and/or family of any change in resident’s health and provide proper documentation Respond quickly to all emergencies Work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively while maintaining close communication with all departments and staff members Provide educational meetings for residents and staff and attend all required training, in‑service and staff meetings May provide oversight and direction for care staff Understand role in the Safety & Disaster Plan Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information Strive to maintain a safe working environment through prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment and achievement of safe working practices Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families and coworkers Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management Perform other duties as assigned Licensed Practical Nurse – Requirements Must be a licensed practical nurse (LPN) of the state. A bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
