Are you an experienced government contracts and supply chain professional looking to make a direct impact on critical U.S. defense programs? We are seeking a Contract Manager & Supply Chain Specialist to support complex defense and government initiatives from proposal development through program execution.

In this highly visible role, you will serve as the central point of coordination for contract administration, subcontract management, procurement, and supply chain activities. Working closely with Program Managers, Business Development, Engineering, Project Controls, and external suppliers, you will ensure contracts are compliant, procurement activities are executed efficiently, and programs are delivered on time and within budget.

• Develop and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), scopes of work, deliverables, and program milestones in collaboration with technical and program teams.
• Support proposal development and pre-award activities, aligning contractual requirements with technical scope, pricing strategy, and execution plans.
• Prepare, review, and administer RFPs, subcontract solicitations, purchase orders, subcontract agreements, modifications, and change orders.
• Manage procurement and supply chain activities for engineering services, equipment, materials, and installation services.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage subcontractors and suppliers while balancing cost, quality, schedule, and risk.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, government contracting requirements, security standards, and data protection regulations.
• Support pricing reviews and cost analysis to ensure fair and reasonable pricing consistent with federal acquisition requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractor invoicing, milestone payments, and issue resolution.
• Monitor subcontractor performance related to cost, schedule, quality, and risk management.
• Partner with Program and Project Managers to support change management, contract administration, and risk mitigation activities.
• Maintain accurate contract, procurement, and project documentation.
• Track and report key contract and procurement metrics to leadership.
• Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen compliance, and reduce supply chain and contractual risk.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Contract Management, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in government contracting, subcontract administration, procurement, supply chain, or related defense industry roles.
• Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal acquisition regulations .
• Experience drafting and managing SOWs, RFPs, subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and contract modifications.
• Proven negotiation skills with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Hands-on experience managing procurement and subcontract administration activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Experience utilizing ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Deltek, or similar platforms .
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple complex programs while maintaining compliance, schedule, quality, and cost objectives.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.

• Master's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• DAWIA, NCMA, CPCM, CFCM, or similar government contracting certification.
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, national security, or military programs.
• Knowledge of government cost principles and pricing analysis methodologies.
• Experience with SharePoint, Smartsheet, Salesforce, or related project management platforms.
• Background supporting construction, installation, engineering, or industrial projects.
• Experience implementing process improvements within contracting or supply chain organizations.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen .
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting mission-critical defense programs.
• Comfortable interacting with senior leadership, customers, suppliers, and government stakeholders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $67.00/hr.
