Job Title: Production Operator Job Description

The Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently running a full production line, from dough mixing through tortilla packaging. This role has a direct impact on key operational metrics and overall performance. Operators start at Tier 1 and can advance to Tier 2 and Tier 3 as they gain experience, demonstrating strong potential for growth and increased responsibility within the production environment.

• Operate and monitor a full production line, including dough mixing, processing, and tortilla packaging, to ensure consistent output and product quality.
• Run manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently, following all operating procedures and guidelines.
• Perform general production and machine operating tasks such as measuring, food handling, and packaging to meet production targets.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and quality throughout the production process, adhering to established food handling and safety protocols.
• Identify and analyze issues on the production line and work proactively to plan and implement solutions.
• Follow written and verbal directions accurately and work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced production line setting while maintaining attention to detail and methodical work habits.
• Handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with production and general labor as needed.
• Support overall line performance by monitoring equipment, reporting concerns, and assisting with adjustments to optimize throughput.
• Demonstrate reliability, strong work ethic, and organizational skills to help the team meet daily and weekly production goals.

The role is based in a SQF-certified, world-class tortilla manufacturing facility in Caldwell, Idaho, specializing in heat-pressed, hand-stretched flour and corn tortillas. The plant operates with time-tested formulations, manufacturing processes, and freezing techniques, producing approximately 5 million tortillas per day and employing over 300 full-time team members who serve customers worldwide. The facility is temperature controlled, averaging around 70–75 degrees depending on the season, providing a generally comfortable working climate. The environment can be loud, and earplugs are required, so employees should be comfortable working with consistent noise levels in a production setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caldwell, ID.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Caldwell,ID.
