Independently Licensed Mental Health Therapist — Independent Contractor

Safe Harbour Counseling, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, independently licensed mental health therapist to join our growing group practice in Columbus, Ohio.

This is a hybrid independent-contractor position offering the flexibility to create your own schedule, choose the size of your caseload, and provide both in-person and telehealth services.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide individual mental health counseling through in-person and telehealth sessions
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Manage an independently selected caseload
• Communicate professionally with clients and practice staff
• Coordinate care with other providers when clinically appropriate
• Follow all applicable ethical, legal, HIPAA, and licensing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related mental health field
• Current independent Ohio license in good standing, such as LPCC, LISW, IMFT, or licensed psychologist
• Professional liability insurance
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to practice independently and manage clinical responsibilities
• Commitment to compassionate, ethical, and client-centered care

Compensation and Schedule

This is an independent-contractor position with flexible scheduling. Therapists determine when they work and how many clients they would like to see.

Compensation is based on caseload, with earning potential of up to $100,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on the number of clients seen, attendance, and applicable reimbursement rates.

There is no traditional nine-to-five schedule. You have the freedom to create a schedule that fits your life while building the level of practice and income that works for you.
