Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse, located in the healthcare provider's facility, provides comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role involves managing a variety of patient needs, including post-surgical recovery, trauma, and chronic conditions related to orthopedics, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, and oncology specialties. The nurse collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications Required: BLS (American Heart Association) a valid BLS certification is required.
• Education and Experience: RN license with at least 1 year of acute care nursing experience in a medical-surgical with telemetry setting.
• Location Requirements: Candidates must reside within 80 miles of the facility.
• Responsibilities: Managing post-surgical patients with trauma, orthopedic, vascular, urological, neuro-spine, and oncology conditions. Administering titratable drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin. Monitoring telemetry, reading strips, and collaborating with charge nurses and house supervisors.
• Additional Information: The role involves working with RT support for CPAP, BIPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapies (no vents). Nursing assistants are present during shifts, and float rotation may be required to other adult medical/surgical units. The orientation includes computer training and precepted floor orientation.
