About the DepartmentThe Rare Disease organization leads all US Commercial efforts for Novo Nordisk’s Rare Disease portfolio. The Rare Disease portfolio includes medical treatments, customer solutions, and devices across multiple Therapy Areas including Rare Bleeding Disorders, Rare Endocrine Disorders, Rare Renal Disorders, and Hemoglobinopathies (Sickle Cell Disease & Beta Thalassemia), as well as new products in the pipeline. They are responsible for effectively coaching, developing and leading the Sickle Cell Community Liaisons, within their team, to engage and educate patients and caregivers, advocacy organizations and specialty pharmacy representatives. Their team is responsible for one-on-one engagement with patients and caregivers to educate on disease state and NNI products (once available) and support offerings so that patients can engage in their own care. This is accomplished by engaging with patients and caregivers one-on-one and at community events. This role is responsible for executing patient engagement strategies for the Sickle Cell community in collaboration with marketing, sales, medical, patient support and market access. Sickle Cell Community Liaison Leader is expected to possess a high level of clinical and customer knowledge. They should also understand and execute against headquarter protocols and possess drive and spirit to engage the Sickle Cell community and support patients and caregivers by reducing barriers to therapy and providing education on disease, treatment and support offerings.RelationshipsThe Sickle Cell Community Liaison Leader reports to the Strategic Partnership and Engagement Lead and manages a team of Sickle Cell Community Liaisons. They will work closely with the Field Sales Organization, Peer Community Liaison Leaders, Government Affairs team, Commercial Excellence, Marketing, Patient Services and other internal stakeholders. Must be in good standing by not exceeding the Novo Nordisk points threshold assigned based on review of Motor Vehicle Records. The incumbent may reside in NV, CA, AZ, CO, NM, OK, TX, KS, MO, LA, IL , IN, WI, MN, OH, KY, OR, WA or MIDevelopment Of PeopleSupervisory. Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. The base range of pay for each title in this job family are as follows:• Sickle Cell Community Liaison Leader- $120,300- $222,600K• Associate Director Sickle Cell Community Liaison Leader- $152,700K - $267,300KIn addition, this position is eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
