Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/26/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 26, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Magnet-recognized teaching hospital, requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.Details\n \n Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting\n Unit includes 7 labor beds, 3 triage bays, 2 PACU beds, and 16 mother-baby beds\n Cares for adult women of childbearing age\n 1:1 patient ratio\n Night shift schedule, either 3x12 or 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)\n Weekend shifts required unless otherwise stated on posted schedule\n Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister facilities\n No on-call requirements\n Uses Epic EMR system\n Requirements\n \n Active WA state or compact RN license required\n Current BLS and NRP certifications required\n AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred\n Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required\n Epic charting experience required\n Experience with high-risk delivery, C-section circulation/recovery, and vaginal delivery assistance\n Skilled in fetal monitoring including external and internal (IUPC) methods\n Experience managing high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and preterm labor\n Experience with labor induction/augmentation medications (Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Terbutaline, Prostaglandins)\n Newborn care experience including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation\n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care\n Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and VBAC management\n Support antepartum and postpartum patients including breastfeeding and lactation support\n Perform fetal heart rate monitoring and recognize abnormal patterns\n Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level 4 trauma center status\n Scrubs provided for OR personnel; any color accepted\n First-time travelers considered only if they have 3+ years of L&D experience\n Prior UW staff must have 18-month separation before returning as a traveler\n RTO limited to 1 week maximum; holiday coverage required\n No RTO accommodated during first two weeks of assignment\n Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction\n COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-759805.
