Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Security Specialist I to join the Global Security Operations Center in Waltham, Massachusetts. The role involves open-source intelligence gathering, security analysis, and incident management to protect employees and assets worldwide on a first-shift day schedule. Responsibilities
Gather and analyze open-source intelligence for security threats and environmental events
Support video surveillance and access control systems operations
Manage and respond to security incidents and technical support inquiries
Ensure continuous Global Security Operations Center functionality
Evaluate security situations and procedures with analytical rigor
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
Open-source intelligence gathering and analysis skills demonstrated
Strong geopolitical and security risk assessment knowledge
GSOC environment or protective services background highly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Microsoft Office proficiency and digital literacy
Ability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends
Compensation: $23.04–$30.72 hourly
