We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join a well-established industrial machine shop specializing in custom manufacturing, equipment repair, and precision machining. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of one-off and custom projects rather than repetitive production work. Pay & Schedule

• $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
• Pay based on experience
• Day Shift
• Full-Time Position

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Machine new components and repair existing parts to precise tolerances
• Perform measurements and inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools
• Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machining methods
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
• Maintain quality standards and ensure completed work meets customer requirements
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications

• Previous manual machining experience required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Experience working with precision measuring instruments
• Strong understanding of machining practices and tolerances
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Commitment to producing high-quality work

Preferred Experience

• Job shop or custom machining environment
• Repair machining and equipment rebuild experience
• Experience machining large steel components
• Industrial, mining, construction, or heavy equipment experience

This is a Permanent position based out of Summersville, WV.

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
