About The Role Location: Arlington, VA Compensation: $155,000–$185,000 per year Commitment: W‑2 Employee, Full‑Time Work arrangement: Hybrid Seniority: Senior Security Clearance: Secret (Preferred) Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: 10+ years Citizenship: United States Citizen + clearance eligible Travel: Up to 10% Anticipated start: Immediate weElevateIT is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to support a federal defense engagement focused on automated transaction monitoring, audit evidence production, robotic process automation, AI‑enabled workflows, dashboarding, and operational go‑live readiness. The architect serves as the senior solution design authority, translating audit, financial management, data engineering, and automation requirements into an integrated solution architecture. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on architect who can operate across business and technical teams, develop clear solution designs, and lead customer‑facing architecture discussions in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical federal environment. What You'll Do Develop and maintain the integrated solution architecture across data engineering, RPA, AI‑enabled workflows, dashboarding, audit evidence packaging, and triage operations — including hands‑on development of diagrams, models, and technical artifacts that directly support delivery teams. Translate business, audit, financial management, and compliance requirements into technical solution designs, workflow models, data flows, integration diagrams, and implementation guidance. Support architecture decisions across Databricks, UiPath, Qlik, GenAI‑enabled services, and government‑furnished data environments. Partner with data engineering specialists to ensure data pipelines, rule engines, governance, lineage, and audit traceability align with the broader solution design. Partner with automation specialists to define human‑in‑the‑loop workflows, exception routing, approval checkpoints, evidence package assembly, and remediation workflow requirements. Develop architecture diagrams, system context diagrams, workflow maps, interface assumptions, dependency documentation, and technical decision records. Identify architecture risks, integration gaps, security and access constraints, data dependency issues, and implementation tradeoffs. Participate in customer‑facing technical discussions, architecture reviews, sprint planning, readiness gate reviews, dry‑run preparation, and go‑live support — ensuring solution designs support federal audit readiness, internal controls, evidence traceability, operational sustainability, and future scalability. What We're Looking For Required U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC), including a favorable federal background investigation; ability to obtain a Secret clearance is preferred for potential future scope changes. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related technical field. Minimum 10 years of experience in solution architecture, systems architecture, enterprise technology delivery, data and automation integration, or technical delivery leadership. Active or in‑progress cloud architecture certification, Databricks certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile or Scrum certification, Certified Solutions Architect certification, or UiPath certification — one or more required; a portfolio of relevant certifications is strongly preferred. Experience designing integrated solutions across data platforms, automation workflows, reporting tools, governance layers, and business operations. Experience translating business or compliance requirements into technical architecture, workflow designs, system diagrams, and implementation guidance. Experience supporting federal, defense, government contracting, regulated, or complex enterprise environments. Strong understanding of data integration, application integration, workflow automation, data governance, access controls, auditability, and traceability. Ability to communicate complex architecture concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders in customer‑facing settings. Ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment with fixed milestones, multiple workstreams, and mission‑critical outcomes. Preferred Master's degree in a technical, business, analytics, cybersecurity, or systems‑related field. Experience supporting Department of Defense, audit, or federal financial management environments. Hands‑on experience with Databricks/Unity Catalog, Qlik, UiPath, GenAI‑enabled services, or similar platforms. Experience designing solutions involving robotic process automation, human‑in‑the‑loop workflows, AI‑enabled content generation, dashboard reporting, or automated evidence packaging. Familiarity with federal audit readiness, internal controls, financial statement audit support, transaction monitoring, audit evidence traceability, or compliance automation. Experience supporting go‑live readiness, dry‑run execution, production cutover, or operational sustainment planning.
