Key Responsibilities Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understand how impactful their donation is. Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so volunteer donors feel comfortable coming back again and again. Be detail‑oriented all day, every day, ensuring that the blood collected meets goals, regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. May drive Red Cross vehicles and work with the team to set up and tear down equipment at donation sites. Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to safely operate Red Cross vehicles. Support a variable schedule, which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules are provided two to three weeks in advance. Pay Information Starting rate $20.25/hour. Pay may increase depending on experience. Auto Req ID 473185BR Minimum Education Required High School/GED Qualifications and Responsibilities High school diploma or equivalent (required). Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills (required). Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record (required). Physical requirements: ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs; good manual dexterity; ability to sit or stand for long periods; adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes; may require a minimum height of 60 inches to safely operate Red Cross vehicles. Basic computer skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Participation in mobile blood drives at businesses, schools and other locations, requiring teamwork to set up and tear down equipment.
