Human Resources Manager

As Manager of Human Resources, you will be responsible for delivering core HR services, including strategic business planning and partnering, staffing, employee relations, coaching, and organizational development. This role will be based in San Francisco and requires light to moderate travel, primarily supporting our locations in Reno and Seattle. ResponsibilitiesPartner with the business to identify, develop, and drive key initiatives such as leadership development, talent/performance management, change management, workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee and career development, performance management, rewards and recognition, and coaching (employee and manager)Build and nurture strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders, customers, and colleagues inside and outside of HR to innovate, enhance, align, and drive the effectiveness of HR initiativesRecommend, amend, and drive improvement to human resources systems, policies, and processes by continuing to stay abreast of the marketplace to identify and leverage best practices/trends to influence the business and HR agendaPossesses personal and professional credibility to serve as a coach and advisor to employees and members of managementIdentifies and helps solve employee performance issuesWork with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues, fairly representing all interestsDrive employee engagement programs and initiativesPartner with the Training and Development team to identify and coordinate employees' training needs to facilitate the growth and development of Clark’s internal talentProvide candid and constructive feedback to business leaders about talent moves, gaps, promotions, and growth opportunitiesPartner with the Compensation and Benefits team to ensure structure is in alignment with other business units within the regionBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred and 5+ years of people management / HR experiencePrior experience, including organizational development, HR administration, and business support, is requiredWillingness to do the hands-on workKnowledge of professional best practices and industry trends as they apply to all HR related functions and responsibilities requiredKnowledge and understanding of the technical areas of Human ResourcesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsIntermediate-level to expert-level computer skills Strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills for researching, analyzing, developing, and leading in the implementation of Human Resources-related programs and recommendationsStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in dealing proactively with all levels of internal and external management, vendor, or agency personnel, including a high degree of sensitivity and change management abilities to intercultural personnel and corporate dynamicsAlignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: Self-Motivated, Results-Oriented, Adaptable, Team Player, Accountable, Ethical, Innovative, Resilient, Builds Relationships, Builds People / Teams & Followership, Sets Direction & ExecutesPreferred Qualifications Prior construction experience#LI-CNThe work environment and requirements described below are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. The Physical Side of the Role:Given that a good portion of your day will be spent at a desk, you should be comfortable with prolonged periods of focused work, whether it's collaborating with colleagues, analyzing data, or developing strategies. The role demands effective communication and sharp visual acuity for reviewing complex documents and performing detailed computer work. While there are times for quiet concentration, you'll also be expected to move actively throughout the office and travel occasionally to various locations, including dynamic construction sites, utilizing different modes of transportation. The ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds on occasion (think a box of files or small office equipment), is also required.Your Work Environment: Your primary workspace will be in our professional office, which has a typical, quiet-to-moderate noise and light levels. As part of your work, you may also be required to visit active construction sites. These environments are naturally more dynamic and can include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, louder noise, and moving equipment. Additional benefits include life insurance, commuter benefit, short & long term disability, fitness reimbursement, FSA, tuition reimbursement, back-up daycare, tutoring & family support benefits, EAP/Work-Life assistance, and a holiday contribution program. For this role the base salary range is $110,000-165,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
