Details Hospital-based Post Acute Neuro unit with 30 beds Patient population includes neurology and oncology diagnoses Patient ratio of 5:1 RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration Administers medications including BP meds, heparin, pain management, and chemo (certified staff only) Uses equipment such as IV pumps, PCA pumps, dynamaps, and feeding pumps Uses Epic EMR Night shift schedule from 6:45pm to 7:15am Works three 12-hour shifts per week totaling 36 hours Every other weekend required No 48-hour work weeks Requirements Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for neuro and oncology patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and patient families to support individualized care needs Deliver patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge planning Mentor and precept staff while fostering strong teamwork and leadership within the unit Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and non-licensed personnel Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives Comply with regulatory standards and practice governance model American Traveler Job ID P-743628.
