Maintenance Controller

A Maintenance Controller is an experienced person capable of making maintenance-related decisions concerning aircraft that are operating away from the maintenance base. Requirements & Qualifications Must hold a current airman certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings. Must possess knowledge of mandatory maintenance manuals. Must have completed Indoctrination training. Must have at least three years documented experience performing maintenance on large aircraft. Must have completed a familiarization training course on the type of aircraft operated by the company. Must have previous aircraft maintenance supervisor experience. Duties & Responsibilities Coordinates and directs mechanics to resolve any maintenance discrepancies and ensure the aircraft are in an airworthy and safe condition. On a daily basis, provides Flight Following with the status of aircraft in service, including MEL/CDL items for flight planning purposes and flight crew information. Coordinates with the Stores Department to ensure that parts requirements are fulfilled. Issues and controls tracking numbers and monitors correction of MEL/CDL/CO items. Coordinates maintenance requirements in conjunction with special flight permit procedures as outlined in the GMM. Maintains a detailed Shift Log and other paperwork as required by management. Assists Maintenance Planning for the scheduling and compliance of daily maintenance and/or inspection requirements. Reviews Aircraft Daily Log Sheets to become familiar with service history. #J-18808-Ljbffr
