Bulk Loading Supervisor

OVERVIEW The Bulk Loader Supervisor will directly supervise up to 30 unionized employees on rotating shifts. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise and coordinate loading/unloading operations. Assigns duties and ensures conformance to policies and procedures. Maintain a high level of interaction with all associates. Enforce company policies, and hold employees accountable. Maintain a continuous improvement philosophy. Picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity and following FIFO policy. Ensure that shipments are accurate and free of damage. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment. Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly. Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation. Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Orderly stacking of product. Lead operations in a way that promotes safety. Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories. Produce and analyze reports related to warehouse and distribution. Responsible for the security of the building when acting as supervisor in charge. Rotating shifts and reasonable overtime (including some weekends) require Job Requirements Minimum three years of supervisory experience in a high volume warehouse or equivalent military experience. 4-year degree highly desirable. Experience in a union environment preferred. Experience with consumer product goods / retail distribution preferred. Successful communication - written and verbal. Ability to establish priorities and multi-task. Experience with personal computers and materials handling equipment. Ability to understand, produce and explain reports EDUCATION: Four year degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent military experience preferred High School Diploma or GED required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Up to 30 employees per shift The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
