Research Account Manager, Flow Cytometry - San Francisco / North Bay

Waters seeks an Account Manager for Flow Cytometry in the San Francisco/North Bay region to drive territory growth through new business development, customer relationship expansion, and solution-based selling. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on commercial execution in the life sciences market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute data-driven territory strategy aligned with market opportunities and growth vectors
- Proactively create, qualify, and advance new business opportunities while managing competitive displacement
- Build multi-level customer relationships and navigate complex stakeholder networks for account expansion
- Deliver consultative selling that positions integrated solutions across instruments, consumables, services, and software
- Lead deal cycles from qualification through close, managing complex negotiations and forecast accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, or related field
- 3–5+ years of sales or commercial experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or healthcare
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities and customer relationships simultaneously
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
- Experience with capital equipment and solution-based selling preferred
- Familiarity with Flow Cytometry and laboratory environments preferred
