Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) at a healthcare facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The position involves providing direct and indirect patient care within a patient-centered, highly reliable, and team-oriented environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale). Candidates must possess at least 2 years of recent experience working in Medical Surgical with Telemetry units.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong background in MedSurg/Telemetry, experience reading telemetry strips, proficiency with chest tubes, tracheostomies, PIV starts, drain & tubes, PCA pumps, and Gtts management including medications such as Amiodarone, Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, and Heparin.
• Additional Information: Ability to provide competent patient care, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively under moderate to high stress. Support within the department includes CNA duties, reception, charge nurse, phlebotomy, IV team, and 24/7 rapid response, hospitalist, and intensivist teams. Candidates willing to accept first-time traveler assignments, depending on experience, are welcome. Orientation includes a 2-day departmental session. Scrub color is royal blue. Parking is provided free of charge. The unit culture emphasizes patient-centered care, reliability, and teamwork.
• Support and Technology: Centralized telemetry monitoring, Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and support for floating within other MedSurg units.
