Service Technician – Santa Maria, CA

Berchtold Equipment Company has been a leader in the Agricultural and Construction Equipment Industry for 115 years.  We are currently seeking ambitious and energetic individuals to add to our Service team.  This is a full time opportunity, working hours are typically Monday through Friday from 7:30am – 4pm.

Responsibilities

• Successfully Inspect, Diagnose and Repair Agricultural and Construction Equipment
• Assist in the creation of Repair Estimates
• Communicate Repairs needed to Service Advisor, Foreman, or Manager
• Maintain efficient work pace throughout day
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.

• Self-Motivation
• Ability to learn and retain product or service knowledge
• Ability to work in a team or independently
• Applicant must supply own tools if Journeyman or Master Level Technician, special tools provided by Berchtold Equipment Co.
• Valid Driver’s License is required
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check are required
• High School Diploma

Other Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications

• Graduation from a Technical Service School (UTI, Wyotech, Bakersfield College etc.)
• New Holland, Kubota or Bobcat Equipment Repair Experience
• Experience using Electronic Diagnostic Tools & Software
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
