Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic - Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate has working knowledge of all trades: electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC and works on associated systems and equipment. Capable of following manufacturer assembly sketches and drawings and simple blueprints. Job Responsibilities Knowledge of how to operate chillers, absorbers, and Co-Gen. Good knowledge of boiler operations and troubleshooting. Capability to perform plumbing work on valves, traps, etc. Experience performing water testing and chemical treatment. Install, maintain, and repair pumps, compressors, motors, fans, etc. Maintain, repair, and adjust heating and cooling systems controls. Maintain, repair San‑I‑Pak machines and sterilizers. Repair different rolling equipment (beds, stretchers, crash carts, etc.). Good knowledge of electrical wiring and capability to replace parts. Maintain and repair fire alarm system and sprinkler system. Install and repair hardware on doors, windows, lockers, and other equipment. Maintain and repair carwash, dishwashing machines, kettles, etc. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; trade school graduate preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in all trades: electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC. Working knowledge in the operation and maintenance of all equipment components in the power plant. Excellent grasp of all trades. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
