Position Summary
Resolution Health and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to support individuals navigating substance use disorders. You will play a key role in helping patients achieve recovery through evidence-based counseling, treatment planning, and ongoing support.
This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, motivated, and committed to long-term patient success.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a structured caseload of patients
Conduct clinical assessments to identify contributing factors
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide counseling, relapse prevention, and recovery support
Collaborate with patients and families to promote sustainable outcomes
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Coordinate care with internal teams and external providers
Qualifications
Certification by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists in one of the following:
CAC-AD
CSC-AD
LG-ADC
ADT
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Experience in substance use treatment preferred
