Prep Staff Opportunity at Just SaladJust Salad is seeking Prep Staff that will join our team. Under the general direction of the Kitchen Team Leader, Prep Staff will focus on following all our food specs and preparing our ingredients in the back of house of our operations. In line with Just Salad's mission to make everyday health and sustainability possible, you will also support initiatives to reduce Just Salad's environmental footprint.Prep Staff Reports to: Store's Kitchen Team Leader and/or ChefWe are looking for people who:Make following recipes and food quality a top priorityAre open to learning and following (great leaders learn to follow first)Are willing to adapt in a growing and ever changing environmentHave early morning availability requiredPrep Staff's Daily Responsibilities:Prep all JS items to recipe cards and specsCorrect usage of oven, per recipesMakes sure all products day dotted as preparedFollow and understand all sanitation proceduresWears a cut glove whenever using a knifeClean/organize the walk-in refrigeratorComplete prep in required time to come to work on front lineKeep kitchen area clean and organizedJob Requirements:Able to lift and carry up to 25 poundsMoving continuously throughout a shiftClimb stairsMaintain a high degree of pace and intensity throughout shiftRead, comprehend and follow spec book and follow recipe materialsClearly and professionally communicate with Restaurant Team Leader, Kitchen Team Leader and other team membersFollow all Just Salad Safety and Health Department Policies, Procedures and StandardsWe provide you with:Paid Training: Every team member hired is set up for success through a training that is structured and detailed.
