Payroll and HR Manager

Vaco has been engaged by a company in the Rocky Mount / Wilson area for support on a Payroll and HR role. The role is fully onsite with a great team and offers a lot of opportunities for growth. This person will be responsible for payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance. Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are strongly preferred.

• Manage end?to?end payroll processing for weekly, biweekly, and monthly payroll cycles, ensuring accurate application of PTO, leaves, and overtime.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance, data accuracy, and reliable reporting.
• Support internal and external audits.

• Maintain complete and accurate employee personnel files in digital and/or physical formats.
• Support ESOP?related data accuracy and compliance requirements.
• Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
• Perform employment verifications, garnishments, and required reporting.
• Manage benefit enrollments, terminations, life events, and vendor communications.
• Offer benefits support to both English? and Spanish?speaking employees as needed.
• Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance documentation, employee relations, corrective action, and offboarding.
• Lead or support employee relations investigations, including complaints, attendance issues, policy violations, and document findings, actions, and outcomes.
• Prepare employment letters, job changes, and status updates. Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and new?hire documentation.
• Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations concerns and conflict resolution.
