Payroll and HR Manager

Vaco has been engaged by a company in the Rocky Mount / Wilson area for support on a Payroll and HR role. The role is fully onsite with a great team and offers a lot of opportunities for growth. This person will be responsible for payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance. Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are strongly preferred.
- Manage end?to?end payroll processing for weekly, biweekly, and monthly payroll cycles, ensuring accurate application of PTO, leaves, and overtime.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance, data accuracy, and reliable reporting.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain complete and accurate employee personnel files in digital and/or physical formats.
- Support ESOP?related data accuracy and compliance requirements.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
- Perform employment verifications, garnishments, and required reporting.
- Manage benefit enrollments, terminations, life events, and vendor communications.
- Offer benefits support to both English? and Spanish?speaking employees as needed.
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance documentation, employee relations, corrective action, and offboarding.
- Lead or support employee relations investigations, including complaints, attendance issues, policy violations, and document findings, actions, and outcomes.
- Prepare employment letters, job changes, and status updates. Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and new?hire documentation.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations concerns and conflict resolution.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
