Registered Nurse – Psych – Full-time Nights

Additionally, Aiken Regional provides comprehensive healthcare services such as behavioral health, emergency medical care (main hospital and ER at Sweetwater), orthopedic surgeries, maternity, rehabilitation services (Hitchcock Rehabilitation Services), imaging, and wound care.

The Registered Nurse provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Duties:

• Performs nursing assessments.
• Performs group psychoeducation.
• Performs family psychoeducation.
• Performs individual psychoeducation.
• Develops nursing related programs as appropriate.
• Performs initial precertification and concurrent reviews on PHP patients
• Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients.
• Participates in the development of treatment plans.
• Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed.
• Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network.
• Charts every session.
• Participates in program development meetings.
• Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor.
• Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed and able (e.g. answering RESPOND calls).
• Compiles and maintains accurate patient charts.
• Reviews charts for physician orders and assures orders are completed as necessary.

Qualifications Requirements:

Work experience requirements: Minimum 6 months experience in mental health setting recommended. Assessment and referral experience preferred.

Required licenses/certifications/courses: Registered Nurse and having South Carolina state licensure for that field
